In the only match played in this division Stefan Salomone/Aldo Polidano beat one of their title contenders – Paola’s Henrik Thomsen/Owen Grech – to consolidate their top position in this division. In a match in which they held control of the proceedings throughout, Stefan/Aldo won 21-12, 21-15.

Div. 2

The two Birkirkara pairs in this division, although giving a good showing, could not overcome their male opponents.

Klara O’Berg/Fiorella Sadowski lost to division winners Paola’s E. Abela/G. Grech 21-19, 21-16 in a close and balanced encounter, whilst Marica Micallef/Katerina Vella Ryabkova drew with Paola’s C. Cassar/P. Cassar in another close and balanced match 21-19, 17-21.

Both Birkirkara pairs then played against each other and shared the points with the score of 21-18, 17-21.

Div. 3

Birkirkara’s Daniel Abdilla/Yanis Boju stamped their superiority in this division by winning both matches played and thus also winning the title.

They first beat Paola’s A. Galea’S. Spiteri 21-12, 21-5 and then beat clubmates and nearest challengers Jesmond & Matthew Galea 21-7, 21-19.

On their part Jesmond/Matthew won their other match comfortably against Shuttles pair E. Gatt/N. Spiteri 21-6, 21-9.

Div. 4

In the only match played in this division Birkirkara’s Olga Galea Fedotkina/Daniella Galea drew against Paola’s M.A. Gambin/P. Gambin 16-21, 21-19.
