Earlier this week, Isaac Ellul – B’Kara BC junior player and current Boys Singles Junior National Champion of both the Under 13 and Under 15 age categories – took part in the Interschool Mini Badminton Tournament. Various students from St. Michael’s College, De La Salle College and National School of Sports participated in this tournament.

Ellul won all of his 4 games in the qualification round in 2 straight sets. In the final, he had to challenge Isaac Axisa of Paola BC for the title. Despite being 2 years younger, our junior Champion managed to overcome his opponent in 3 sets. Axisa won the first set 21-19. However, although Ellul had just got back on court due to sickness, he managed to step-up his game and win the other 2 sets 21-18 & 21-16, thus bringing the victory home and adding another title to his palmares.
