After ending the regular matches in joint first position at the top of the table, Matthew Galea (Birkirkara BC) and Mark Abela (Paola BC) had to battle each other once again to decide which player will come out the winner of Division 5.

The decider turned out to be another pulsating match where the two youngsters put up a great show for the supporters who were present to cheer on their clubmates. In the end, Matthew emerged winner in straight sets to win the Div. 5 title and promotion. The final score, 21-16, 21-16, indicates that the decider was a balanced match. Nevertheless, the Birkirkara player appeared in control throughout the 2 games as he took the lead from the start to keep his opponent at a distance.

Matthew showed determination and tactical play (making very few errors) to make him a deserved winner. Congratulations.
